Terms & ConditionsAvailabilityWe prefer to take one booking per day as this helps to ensure that the booking we have received has top priority. We want to give your centre piece the WOW factor, so it is important to us that it is perfect and we are not rushing off to set up another cheese cake. This is why we need you to make a deposit to secure your day. This deposit must be made at the time of confirmation and is non-refundable. If paying by card the final balance must be received two weeks before delivery date. At this time we will send you an email to remind you that the full payment is due. Failure to complete this payment within 48 hours will result in your booking being cancelled and your deposit will not be refunded. Cheques must be made payable to the HRH Big Cheese Cake Company and we must receive the full payment three weeks prior to delivery date as cheques need to be cleared before we deliver the cake. From time to time we may have a problem sourcing a particular cheese/item, due to the seasonal changes. This doesn't happen very often, but if necessary we may need to make a substitution, but we will try and match your original order as closely as possible.
WeightsBy its nature cheese weights are not consistent, for example, a Vignotte can vary between 2kg - 2.5kg - cheese making is not an exact science. What we do promise is that we will ensure that the overall weight is sufficient to serve your guests. Whole cheeses may be approximate in weight, so a 'whole wheel’ or 'whole truckle' described as 2kg might turn out to be a little more or less. We reserve the right to amend the advertised price of any of our cheese cakes, which may be made necessary due to market forces.
DeliveryWe will deliver free within a 40 mile radius of the OX17 (Oxfordshire) postal code area. Outside this radius, additional mileage costs will be incurred at a rate of 45p per mile. We will deliver and decorate on the day, provided we have received the payment in full two weeks prior to delivery date. It is essential that the delivery address details are correct. In the event of an incorrect address being given, we cannot be held responsible for any late delivery. Instructions should be left, or given beforehand, as to where the cake should be displayed. Please ensure that these are simple, clear and brief, or there is someone there to inform us. Once the cheese is delivered, assembled and decorated, it is no longer our responsibility. The cutting, serving and storage of the cheese become the responsibility of the customer, but we are happy to advise you on this. We require a signature on site to confirm the cake has been delivered. We will accept no liability for loss or damage which may occur after this time. We will not accept responsibility for the possible dislike of the natural taste of a cheese, but if you are unhappy with the quality, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery as we will need to return to your venue to ascertain the nature of the problem.
Cake stand / board and cake separators and pillarsThese are provided on a loan basis only and must be returned within 5 working days after the occasion. We will provide you with a returns box with prepaid postage. All you have to do is pop the items in the box and post it back.
CancellationIn the event of cancellation, the deposit is non refundable. Cancellations made two weeks, or less, prior to the event date will be liable to pay the total cost of the ordered cake. |
